As the number of people seeking to enjoy overseas travel increases after the COVID-19 pandemic, one company is attracting attention by introducing a new service to solve the problems faced by activity travel agencies.
As the number of travelers increases, the challenge for activity travel agencies is that the number of sales channels they need to manage has increased.
These inconveniences can be solved at once through the service developed by ‘AX (Activity Exchange)’.
This is because you can upload and sell through multiple sales channels at once and obtain real-time purchase information through the app.
AX provides ‘AX Cloud’, an ‘Activity GDS (Global Distribution System)’ for tour & activity travel companies.
AX Cloud links all operational processes of online sales so that companies can focus on the essence of providing experiences to travelers at travel destinations.
Additionally, they minimize management tasks by enabling a single view of data flow.
Travel companies with global travel products only need to register their existing product information in AX Cloud once, which then standardizes the data and makes it available for sale on various online platforms.
Accordingly, travel companies can manage everything from real-time ordering to inventory, settlement, and customer attraction management at once by registering the product once.
Currently, about 350 travel companies in 30 countries are using Ax Cloud, and we plan to digitally convert about 10,000 travel products and supply them to 26 online platforms by the end of this year.
Based on these technologies, AX was selected as a preliminary high-growth company of this year's SW High Growth Club and a participating company in KTSC Demo Day and overseas exhibitions (WiT, TTA).
In addition, they participated in the ‘2023 Tourism Global Challenge Y&Bridge’ hosted by Y&Archer and received various supports such as IR consulting to strengthen investment capabilities and discovery of overseas local partners.
Last year, they attracted Series A investment from existing investors SJ Investment Partners, Magna Investment, NBH Capital, and Kim Jeong-ho (Naver founding member), receiving a cumulative investment of 5.1 billion won.
AX plans to expand its operations to Southeast Asia and Oceania markets based on the Singapore subsidiary established last year and expand its online platform contracts to 50 by next year.
AX CEO Oh Yeon-ju said, “We want to become a global travel tech company that has digitally converted the largest number of tour & activity products from offline to online by converting 30,000 products into data next year and 70,000 by 2025.”
