The 'Indoor Spatial Information Guide Display Solution (Kiosk)' developed in collaboration with Lotte Department Store by the spatial information specialist AI technology company 'Dabeeo' has won the top prize at the '2023 Red Dot Awards.'

The Red Dot Awards is a globally respected design award, considered one of the top three design awards in the world along with Germany's 'iF Design Award' and the United States' 'IDEA.'

It honors outstanding quality work in the design world, and the winning works are displayed at the Red Dot Design Museum for international exhibitions.

The kiosk developed by Dabeeo is a new platform-based service that takes into consideration scalability, built on existing digital indoor map data.

It provides store information and vehicle and route finding services, as well as the ability to check customer reviews by store, make restaurant reservations, and more.

The service integrated through the Dabeeo Studio platform was applied to 28 locations, including nationwide department stores and outlets, totaling over 390 kiosks, for three months starting from October of the previous year.

Additionally, 23 units were installed at Lotte Mall Hanoi, Vietnam's largest complex shopping mall, which opened in July.

Dabeeo, which opened in 2012, currently has about 80 domestic and foreign employees developing spatial information such as maps using artificial intelligence technology.

It is a technology company where more than 60% of the total workforce is comprised of developers and deep learning engineers.

Currently, the map developed by Dabeeo has achieved the No. 1 market share in the domestic premium retail industry and is being used in various spaces such as tourist attractions, sports stadiums, hospitals, and museums.

Dabeeo's goal is to provide spatial information data, such as maps, more quickly and efficiently using artificial intelligence technology.

In the long term, the goal is to advance into the intelligence field by fusing these maps with deep learning spatial information.

Furthermore, they plan to expand overseas based on overseas branches in the United States and Vietnam.

To facilitate this, they recently participated in the '2023 Tourism Global Challenge Y&Bridge,' organized by the global accelerator Y&Anchor. This allowed them to receive support for activities such as overseas institution showcases and the discovery of local partners.

Joo-heum Park, CEO of Dabeeo, said, “We plan to continue to develop artificial intelligence-based spatial information technology and achieve global expansion based on this.”

“The ultimate goal is to become a company that reads and interprets the entire Earth,” he said.
