The importance of nurturing global talent is emphasized every year, but many people are quickly giving up due to the large cost burden and limitations.
To solve the problems of expensive education costs and unreliable parenting information content online, Mingling is introducing a service called ‘Mingle Care.’
We met with Mingling CEO Jeon Chang-yeol and heard about Mingling’s services.
Q. What services does Mingle Care provide?
-The main content development areas are divided into three categories: infants' bodies, cognition, and emotions, and so far, more than 160 IPs have been secured and operated.
Related companies operating such projects for infants are expected to have a high demand for their own media production or solution content, contributing to the healthy growth of children through joint development of content and IP sharing.
Q. What led you down the path of entrepreneurship?
- I thought about ways to reduce the burden of childcare, which is the biggest factor in the era of low birth rates. I thought that language was something that could be alleviated from the economic burden of raising children by taking advantage of education costs, and that this could be solved by utilizing our capabilities (foreign network). We decided that it would be a good business if we could use this in-home care content and childcare facilities such as daycare centers.
Q. What is Mingling’s competitive edge?
-Mingling's four main competitive strengths are a foreign network, content planners from educational institutions, various types of content development resources and capabilities, and a leading business partner in the domestic infant and toddler industry. Content planners are comprised of people who have worked in the early childhood education field or at related companies. For physical development content, safety is reviewed through cooperation with ‘Woori Children’s Hospital’, the largest pediatric hospital in Korea, and for cognitive development content, it is possible to provide various types of solutions that help cultural communication through a foreign network.
Q. What are your plans for future business expansion?
-Mingling’s goal is to secure competitive content IP to dominate the market of childcare facilities (daycare centers, kindergartens) that experience ‘growth and development’. Currently, there are approximately 70 infant and toddler daycare facilities using Mingle Care’s cognitive (language) content. Foreigners are being taught at childcare facilities using the English program developed by Mingling. We are steadily conducting sales activities targeting educational branches in the metropolitan area to attract additional B2B customers, and it is currently confirmed to be supplied to more than 400 centers within March 2024 (new program contract period), and we expect to grow more than three times compared to this year. In addition, we are preparing the ‘Meta-Kids’ service, a basic education program to improve children’s creativity, and it is scheduled to be provided at childcare facilities nationwide starting in March next year.
